It is with deep sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our President, John McLoughlin.

John was not only a dedicated leader but also a mentor, friend, and one of the best people we have ever known. For over 35 years, John's vision and dedication have played a vital role in the success of One Source, and his absence will be profoundly felt. 

John was instrumental in building a foundation that allows for the continued growth of One Source Associates and fostering partnerships with our key principles and customers.

**Mike Morris Appointed as President**
With steadfast leadership and 30 years of invaluable continuity, Mike will spearhead the organization’s day-to-day operations and implement the Board's strategic initiatives into action, all while driving continued success in his pivotal role leading the Projects Division.

**Christopher Barozzini Continues as Vice President of Lighting Controls**
Leveraging over three decades of deep company expertise, Christopher will continue to ensure unparalleled leadership, consistency, and strategic focus within the vital Lighting and Controls Division.

**Joel Gavin Joins the Board as the Chief Financial Officer**

Product Spotlight March 2025

One Source is excited to announce the promotion of Sean Goodman to the position of Manager, Field Services Division! 
 
Sean has been an integral member of the field service team since his hiring in July of 2021. He has consistently succeeded in his roles on the OSTS team, moving quickly from Field Service Technician to Senior Technician and taking on a field leadership role. Sean is expert in all the systems we program and has been a mentor to each of our technicians. His responsibilities will now include day to day OSTS business as well as management of the outside and inside staff in that department. Sean will continue to grow and expand this department with a focus on increasing revenue, generating new services, ensuring that our staff is well-trained and well-equipped, and increasing customer satisfaction. 
 
Amanda McLean will continue in her primary role in Specification Sales and will also continue to mentor those on the OSTS team.  We are sincerely grateful for Amanda's leadership during our formative years in the startup business, as she helped build the team and create the required systems and processes that have made it successful and grow. 

Let’s congratulate Sean on his well-deserved promotion!

DAC Chapter Design Award Winners

### Mark Koehler

Mark Koehler had the electrical business in his blood.  His father, Louis, was the “Koehler” in Burdette, Koehler & Murphy (BKM), one of the top engineering firms in Baltimore.  He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in business, and it was there that he met former One Source president, Jack Floyd, who convinced Mark to join the company (then Downie, Turner & Buress), to work in inside sales.  Mark moved into outside sales in the mid-1980’s, calling on electrical engineers, contractors and distributors, and specializing in lighting.  When DT&B obtained representation of Lutron he focused much of his time on controls systems, and earned Lutron’s expert certification of “Super Rep.”

Mark met his wife Mary Katherine (daughter of DT&B president Carroll Buress) one summer when she came to work at DT&B, and Mark became an owner in the company (and subsequently of One Source Associates) when Carol retired.  Mark served One Source as Vice President of Controls, and brought many of the most complicated controls systems projects sold in the territory to successful completion.  Over the years Mark became a specialist in contractor sales, and is one of One Source’s historically best salespeople.  In recent years Mark has prepared the company for his eventual retirement by imparting his wisdom to others in the organization, selflessly strengthening us for future success.  It is a matter of company history that Mark, not usually one to enjoy long meetings, one day during a particularly protracted discussion over what the merging companies of DT&B and Maryland Lighting should be named, roused himself from a near slumber and said quite simply, “Why don’t we just call it One Source?”  So we did.


### Clarke Utermohle

Clarke Utermohle joined Downie, Turner & Burress (DT&B) in 1984 as an outside salesperson.  He continued in that role for several years before leaving to further his career as a direct sales employee for Hubbell Wiring Devices in 1988.  Clarke was our competitor there for several years and eventually went to work for Lightolier.  He returned home to One Source Associates in 2010, calling on key electrical distributor and contractor customers and closing some of the largest orders in the company’s history.

Clarke’s has been a steady presence with customers and in our office, always reminding us through his actions that it’s possible to be very passionate while remaining respectful and professional at the same time.  His experience working in different aspects of the electrical business made him a particularly effective problem solver who knew how to “get things done.”  Throughout his working years he has remained active as a musician, and plans to spend some of his retirement time furthering his expertise in this regard.  


We will miss Mark’s competence, wisdom and wit, and Clarke’s professionalism and unflappably calm demeanor, and we thank them both for so many wonderful years.

We hosted a networking run/walk event in partnership with WILD (Women in Lighting & Design), sponsored by Kelvix, OCL, Lutron, DMF, and ALW. In addition to the 5K portion of the event, there was a silent auction with more than a dozen baskets up for bid, mostly put together by our One Source family. The event brought in $5000 for House of Ruth Maryland, a local battered women's shelter. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this event! The One Source team participated in a pink charity day to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation where our ownership team donated $100 for every employee who wore pink. Here are 4 ways that you can get your facility ready for re-entry.

1. Do a deep clean on electrical devices regularly. Swap out existing wall plates and devices for ones designed to stand up against cleaning agents.  
2. Reconfigure any spaces that you can with separate power sources so people don’t need to share outlets. Space workstations or desks at least six feet apart, ideally with partitions between them.
