We hosted our 9th Annual Contractor Hook & Cook fishing event. The weather was perfect, there were a lot of great conversations, and many of us caught a fish, so spirits were quite high. Connect, converse, and create sustainable light. Join us for an engaging conversation on emerging trends in sustainable light and material transparency. Discussion led by Melissa Mattes, a Senior Lighting designer and Sustainability Specialist at Sladen Feinstein Integrated Lighting, one of the founding authors and signatories of the Lighting Advocacy Letter. Following the discussion, we will build our own light sources using upcycled and recycled materials at a candle-making workshop.

One Source is partnering with WILD (Women in Lighting Design) to host Lighting the Way 5K, a charitable run/walk event for women. The event will be focused around building a network of strong and successful women in our local market that can support each other moving forward. All proceeds for this event will be donated to House of Ruth Maryland, a local battered women’s shelter in order to give back to our community, and to show our commitment to success for all women.

The event will begin and end at our Columbia office. We will have food, drinks, music, a silent auction, and more.
