Lutron DC Experience Center Leader

Contributions & Responsibilities:

  • Foster and leverage strong relationships with executives, account & product/technical experts to deliver best-in-class customer experiences
  • Communicate and work with executive management and sales organization to ensure the success of customer visits
  • Maintain exceptional working knowledge of Lutron technologies, channels and relationships within Lutron and with key local partners and customers
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the local Lutron Experience Center's operation and related customer experience including managing direct and indirect local teams responsible for daily operations logistics, hospitality and relationships with external/internal vendors (catering, real estate, etc.)
  • Report to Communications Director for all Lutron Experience Centers
  • Manage any future Experience Center support staff, as required
  • Network and actively participate in local industry related associations
  • Travel 25%

    Areas of Responsibility: Strategy and Marketing:

  • Market the Experience Center by developing and executing a strong local communication plan and marketing materials
  • Work closely with business stakeholders (sales and business leaders) and be seen as a trusted partner when curating customer engagements
  • Leverage visits and events at the experience center to build awareness and generate new sales opportunities
  • Manage training calendar and events in center
  • Evaluate visit requests based on sales impact, market segmentation, stage in sales cycle
  • Collaborate with sales team in managing full planning and execution of visits to ensure an exceptional customer experience
  • Lead demonstrations of the experience center and solutions that incorporate the Lutron story, corporate background, etc.
  • Work with experience center staff on all logistics for each briefing including welcome, agendas, name badges, catering, transportation
  • Populate briefing management system
  • Maintain SFDC data-center traffic, customer visits, trainings

    Functional Operations for the Center:

  • Manage daily operations for the center - reception, hospitality, support for Lutron executives, and all visit logistics
  • Troubleshoot on site issues that may arise during tours, briefing
  • Troubleshoot and report any software/hardware, product outages and schedule repairs inform regarding status
  • Maintain working relationships with vendors, building services, catering and merchandise vendors

    Evaluation and Updates:

  • Compile, analyze and manage reporting of local Experience Center metrics, statistics, trends, survey/evaluation scores and internal and external customer feedback
  • Develop budgets and scheduled with technology and content providers to replace end of life equipment
  • Manage Lutron product updates in center to completion
  • Actively participate in industry associations


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in business, marketing, design, architecture, interior design or communications
  • 3-7 years’ experience in event planning, briefing/experience centers and/or showroom management

    Construction Inside Sales Support

    One Source Associates has an immediate opening in our Columbia, MD office.


  • Manage multiple manufacturer accounts and serve as a liaison between the manufacturer and its respective electrical distributor and contractor partners
  • Develop strong relationships with key manufacturer, distributor and contractor contacts
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and work with a sense of urgency in handling requests associated with product selection, pricing and availability, order entry, order tracking, returns, invoicing and other administrative functions
  • Generate quotations and product submittals for large projects and keep a detailed and organized accounting of all associated documentation and correspondences
  • Track project quote opportunities through design, bid and award to identify design and contractor firms involved and leverage our relationships and specifications to secure the business.
  • Manage price files, special pricing agreements(SPAs) and update stocking electrical distributors of upcoming price increases or changes to terms and conditions
  • Serve as the “in house” subject matter expert for the products, solutions and applications specific to the manufacturers for which you have account responsibility, gain an awareness of our competitors and learn the pricing levels required to win in our market.
  • If required, review plans and specifications, perform take-offs, develop requests for information and generate the bills of material required to install the manufacturer’s products/system.
  • Understand the role our agency plays in the industry and how we identify and influence key stakeholders within the construction hierarchy.
  • Prioritize requests according to their need and consistently meet customer deadlines
  • Assist the outside sales team and other departments within our organization in our joint effort to earn business from our customer base

    Qualifications must include:

    • A minimum of 2 years of college preferred but not required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) a must
    • Self-motivated with strong work ethic

    • Close attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
    • Displays a positive “whatever it takes” attitude every day
