Construction Inside Sales Support

One Source Associates has an immediate opening in our Columbia, MD office.


  • Manage multiple manufacturer accounts and serve as a liaison between the manufacturer and its respective electrical distributor and contractor partners
  • Develop strong relationships with key manufacturer, distributor and contractor contacts
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and work with a sense of urgency in handling requests associated with product selection, pricing and availability, order entry, order tracking, returns, invoicing and other administrative functions
  • Generate quotations and product submittals for large projects and keep a detailed and organized accounting of all associated documentation and correspondences
  • Track project quote opportunities through design, bid and award to identify design and contractor firms involved and leverage our relationships and specifications to secure the business.
  • Manage price files, special pricing agreements(SPAs) and update stocking electrical distributors of upcoming price increases or changes to terms and conditions
  • Serve as the “in house” subject matter expert for the products, solutions and applications specific to the manufacturers for which you have account responsibility, gain an awareness of our competitors and learn the pricing levels required to win in our market.
  • If required, review plans and specifications, perform take-offs, develop requests for information and generate the bills of material required to install the manufacturer’s products/system.
  • Understand the role our agency plays in the industry and how we identify and influence key stakeholders within the construction hierarchy.
  • Prioritize requests according to their need and consistently meet customer deadlines
  • Assist the outside sales team and other departments within our organization in our joint effort to earn business from our customer base

    Qualifications must include:

    • A minimum of 2 years of college preferred but not required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) a must
    • Self-motivated with strong work ethic
    • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
    • Close attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
    • Displays a positive “whatever it takes” attitude every day
    • Work well independently and collaboratively
    • Accustomed to operating outside of their comfort zone
    • Expresses an eagerness to learn and grow within the organization
    • Punctual and manages time well
